A startup incubator built to help you succeed
From a portfolio manager who knows your business to a mentor who knows your industry and direct access to business customers in your target market, the LaunchLab’s incubation programme gives you the connections you need to start, build and grow your business.
We are privileged to be in the position to work with several student thought leaders from Stellenbosch University as well as students from other universities in South Africa.
This year we are offering the Stellenbosch University Fellowship Programme and a number of other students focused programmes.
Cycle to work, hang up your bike, shower, grab a flat white and a breakfast, work hard all morning, have that meeting over lunch at the cafe, push through the afternoon, get together with friends for a fascinating evening talk about running a startup, meet people who can help you do amazing things.
It all happens at the LaunchLab.
Dozens of LaunchLab-incubated companies got funding in 2017 – from brand new ideas to revenue generating businesses. Yours could be next.
Right now, more than 30 leading investors and funds are in our investor network and are regularly looking at LaunchLab-incubated companies. As part of our incubation programme, we introduce our founders to angel investors, VCs and our corporate partners to help them take their company to the next stage.
Our corporate partners have laid down the innovation challenges in their industries. Take the challenge and pitch your idea to a panel of experts, and even take it to a live audience of other startups and potential investors. Get it right, and a cash prize, support, and LaunchLab incubation are all up for grabs.
Our own Countdown Programme pulls the best from startup service providers together to build a 15 week programme to help startups put all of the structures and controls together to bring on large clients and take on investment.
The LaunchLab Makerspace, sponsored by RS Components, has been created for innovators and entrepreneurs to build prototypes to take to market. Any innovator is welcome and collaboration is encouraged.
