Stellenbosch Digital LaunchLab Talk: Karabo Nkoana – ‘How the SA SME Fund is changing the game for SA startups’

It’s the September Stellenbosch Digital LaunchLab Talk and we are honoured to have guest speaker Karabo Nkoana, Associate Principal at SA SME Fund join us. Karabo will be speaking to us on ‘How the SA SME Fund is changing the game for SA startups.’

After qualifying as a Mechanical Engineer from the University of Cape Town, Karabo started her career as a Junior Engineer in Renewable Energy. After a period of time, she decided to head back to University to obtain her Honours Degree in Finance. Following this, she pivoted into Private Equity and spent time in Development Consulting with a focus on impact investing whilst pursuing her Masters in Development Finance. After a short sabbatical, Karabo joined the SA SME Fund as an associate principal. Alongside her team, the SA SME Fund invests directly in scalable small and medium enterprises with the best potential for growth and sustainable employment creation in the South African economy.

We look forward to networking and hearing about Karabo’s experience and perspective.
